We believe, as integral part of the art world, we have a duty to minimise our impact on the environment through our business activities.
While our full Environmental Policy can be read by clicking the link at the bottom of this page, here is a summary of the steps we are taking to ensure we minimise our impact on the environment:
Packing waste and pollution
As a company, we aim to reduce the environmental impact of our business whenever possible. By operating in an environmentally responsible manner, we will reduce the general/packing waste and pollution generated by our commercial activities.
Reduce energy and water use
We reduce our energy and water use by constantly assessing and adopting best-practice conservation technology. For example, we ensure lights and heating are switched off when not required and maintain our buildings to minimise their impact on the local environment.
Recycling
We actively promote the recycling and/or re-use of materials generated by our business and our customers. This helps reduce our impact on the environment as well as our upcycling clients, who are able to make good use of the salvaged materials.
Fuel reduction
We have implemented an intensive driver training programme aimed at delivering a 10% reduction in fuel usage through more economical driving. Measuring the impact of this training allows us to constantly assess the need for any further improvements.
Safe disposal
Through compliance with all relevant business and commercial waste legislation, we ensure that all disposal of unusable waste we undertake is safe and carried out in a way that minimises any long-term environmental impact.
Monitoring and auditing
Through our links with the Carbon Trust and Thames Renewables, we are able to monitor and assess our progress towards a sustainable future. This helps us as we continue to develop our environmental awareness on an ongoing basis.
