Carbon Offsetting Programme
Mindful of our environmental responsibilities and the need for the world to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050, we’re introducing a new climate care initiative — Crozier UK Carbon Offsetting Programme.
Transportation of art works is one of the biggest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions in the art sector. Being a part of the art sector ecosystem, we believe it is our responsibility to help reduce art transport’s carbon footprint. Therefore, continuing our commitment towards a greener future, we are now launching Crozier UK Carbon Offsetting Programme.
Carbon offsetting is an internationally recognised way to compensate for your emissions by funding an equivalent carbon dioxide saving elsewhere. It provides a mechanism to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the most cost-effective and economically efficient manner.
Together with our carbon offsetting partner ClimateCare, we have discussed the unique requirements of the art industry and analysed the environmental impact of global art transport.
To help our clients take measurable steps to reduce their carbon footprint, Crozier UK will now automatically arrange the carbon offset as we provide you with art transport services.
How will it work?
Based on the volume, destination and mode of transport, we will calculate the total emissions produced by your shipment and the cost to offset them. The carbon offset charge will then be added to your estimate and invoice. At the end of every six-months period, we will offset the combined carbon emissions by purchasing verified carbon credits from high quality carbon reduction projects.
Our partners
We will be partnering with ClimateCare, climate and sustainable development experts. They are trusted by some of the world’s leading organisations to deliver high-impact carbon offsetting programmes which protect the environment, increase biodiversity, tackle poverty, and improve health.
Our commitment to sustainable future
We have been at the forefront of setting sustainability standards for the fine art logistics industry and continuously work on reducing our carbon footprint. We take measurable steps to reduce our impact on the environment, including offsetting all company travel, moving to paperless methods of working, investing in low-emission and electric vehicles, using renewable energy in our buildings and more.
